# VoIP

> Save money and improve communication with a modern, internet-based phone system.

Traditional phone lines come with high monthly bills, limited features, and infrastructure that doesn't scale easily. VoIP — Voice over IP — replaces that with a phone system that runs over your internet connection, giving you more capability at a fraction of the cost.

Wasalo sets up and manages your VoIP system end to end, so you can focus on running your business rather than troubleshooting your phones.

## What's included

A Wasalo-managed VoIP system comes with the features your business needs to communicate professionally:

* **Call routing** — Automatically direct incoming calls to the right person, department, or voicemail based on rules you define.
* **Voicemail** — Receive and manage voicemails from any device, with the option to get transcriptions delivered to your email.
* **Call recording** — Record calls for training, compliance, or quality assurance — and access recordings whenever you need them.
* **Conference calling** — Host multi-party calls without third-party tools. Bring your team or clients together with a single number.
* **Mobile integration** — Make and receive business calls from your mobile phone using your business number, keeping your personal number private.

## Why VoIP makes sense for your business

The cost advantage alone is significant — most businesses see meaningful savings when they switch from a traditional PBX or landline setup. But the real benefit is flexibility. VoIP scales as your team grows: adding a new line takes minutes, not a service call. Features like call recording, auto-attendants, and voicemail-to-email come standard, rather than as expensive add-ons.

If your team works remotely or across multiple locations, VoIP makes it easy to present a unified business number regardless of where anyone is physically located.

<Tip>
  A traditional landline ties you to a fixed location and a fixed set of features. VoIP gives you the same call quality with far more flexibility: your number travels with you, your features are configurable in software, and adding lines doesn't require a technician on-site. For most small and mid-sized businesses, the switch pays for itself within the first few months.

<Note>
  Wasalo handles the full setup of your VoIP system — including number porting if you want to keep your existing business number — and provides ongoing support. If something isn't working or you need to adjust your call routing, you have a team to call.
